Aberdeen Golf Links Pro-Am 2025 – A Celebration of Links Golf
A Showcase of Scotland’s Great Links Courses
Held annually on Scotland’s northeast coast, the Aberdeen Golf Links Pro-Am has become a highlight in the golfing calendar for amateurs and professionals alike. Set across three of Aberdeenshire’s most celebrated courses — Cruden Bay, Royal Aberdeen, and Trump International Scotland — the event brings together a spirit of friendly competition and classic links golf at its finest.
The 2025 edition continued this proud tradition, offering players a unique challenge across a range of linksland styles, from traditional and rugged to modern and expansive.
Three Iconic Courses, One Unforgettable Event
Cruden Bay Golf Club
Steeped in history and consistently ranked among the world’s top courses, Cruden Bay offers a unique blend of towering dunes, dramatic blind shots, and sweeping coastal views. It’s a course that tests imagination as much as shot-making, and its character is unmistakable.
Royal Aberdeen Golf Club
Founded in 1780, Royal Aberdeen is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world. Its famous Balgownie Links provides a classic test of traditional Scottish golf, with tight, fast-running fairways framed by dunes and ever-present sea breezes shaping every shot.
Trump International Scotland
Set against a backdrop of massive dunes and framed by the North Sea, Trump International delivers a grand and modern take on links golf. Wide fairways, elevated greens, and sweeping vistas define the experience here, offering a challenging but memorable finish to the Pro-Am rotation.
Capturing the Event
Although I attended the Aberdeen Golf Links Pro-Am unofficially, I was delighted to have the opportunity — with the organisers’ permission — to photograph the atmosphere, the courses, and the incredible setting that makes this event so special.
Covering the action across all three venues, the focus was on showcasing not only the competition but also the stunning landscapes that define links golf on Scotland’s northeast coast.
